TRAINING
It will be a waste of time to teach a well versed (in environmental matters) person the basics of carbon measurement and the principles behind it. Just as illogical to not teach those that had not had the benefits of education how damaging their unintentional actions can be.

We have therefore designed our course into modules to enable the Manager or MD to choose what aspects they think is applicable to which group.

The course consist:
Introduction:
Awareness creation of how sensitive the environment is and 2 exercises to get the group
to participate and share their attitude towards Earth.
Basic concepts of climate Change:
Because gas is not visible and the concept of climate change difficult for some to grasp,
this module is dedicated to get students to visualize the damage done by
Green House Gasses.
The root causes of climate change:
Building on the basic concepts we now try to understand where it all started and how the
balance in nature is continually disturbed.
Impact on South Africa:
Looking on what happened in other parts of the world and showing how very vulnerable
our South African lifestyle is.
Abuse is Abuse:
It is more than just GH Gasses that hurts our environment. People mostly do not realize
how lasting and damaging the effects are.

This module is about littering and the long term impact on the environment
Save electricity:
Arguably a worn out topic but once again we try to get students to visualize the damage
that coal mining does.
Green offices:
Practical tips on getting a healthy and pleasant looking work environment.
Separation at source:
Contaminated (with other refuse) materials are worthless. Trying to show the logic behind
“one man’s refuse is another’s riches”
Background to Kyoto:
More detailed intro into the Kyoto protocol and what the future may hold for international
attempts to curb GHG emissions
Why measure your footprint?
Talks about business reasons i.e saving on the business’s bottom line for measuring
footprint and involving staff in making it more sustainable.
Background to Kyoto:
More detailed intro into the Kyoto protocol and what the future may hold for international
attempts to curb GHG emissions
Legislative Motivation:
